A Balinese Melaspas ceremony celebrates the new BSB campus
We are delighted to share the wonderful news of the official opening of our new campus in beautiful Ubud, marked by a vibrant and unforgettable celebration, which occurred on Friday, 29th August.
The occasion began with a colourful Melaspas ceremony, honouring Balinese traditions and blessing the start of our school journey. Guests, students and staff were treated to an afternoon filled with energy, culture, and community spirit.
One of the highlights of the event was the Balinese dancing, where members of our team proudly joined in alongside the performers. The joyful atmosphere was enhanced by the sight of colourful traditional costumes and the captivating rhythms of local music.
No Balinese celebration would be complete without the cuisine, and we were fortunate to enjoy a feast of delicious local dishes. The flavours reflected the warmth and hospitality of Bali, creating a sense of connection and togetherness as we shared food and conversation.
This event would not have been possible without the incredible hard work and dedication of the team who organised it. We extend our heartfelt thanks to them for their meticulous planning and commitment. We are equally grateful to our parents, students, and wider school community for their trust, encouragement, and support throughout this journey.
The opening ceremony was more than just an event—it was the start of an exciting new chapter for The British School of Bali. Together, with respect for tradition and a commitment to excellence in education, we look forward to building a thriving, caring, and inspiring school community.
