BSB Students Visit Sanggraloka Farm

On Thursday, 9th October, students from the Jasmine, Lotus, and Orchid classes at The British School enjoyed an unforgettable visit to Sanggraloka Farm in northern Ubud. Sanggraloka is a family-friendly eco-destination surrounded by lush greenery, featuring gardens, a river, natural pools, a mini zoo and a café.

The journey by bus took around 45 minutes, and everything went smoothly. Upon arrival, students enjoyed their packed lunches before beginning the first activity - painting colourful gypsum designs. They then explored the farm, where they planted marigold, chili, aubergine and tomato plants. Each child planted one seedling to take home in a pot and another directly into the earth, gaining hands-on experience in caring for living things.

Along the way, the children spotted tropical butterflies and even a magnificent peacock. It was heartwarming to see older students mentoring and supporting their younger peers throughout the day. With plenty of water, sunscreen and sun hats, everyone stayed safe and happy under the Bali sunshine.

The return journey was equally smooth, and we arrived back at school at 14:30, well before after-school clubs began.

A huge thank you to the Sanggraloka Farm team for their kindness and hospitality in making the day such a memorable and enriching experience.
